Our Charity Partners

Sohn Hearts & Minds
Hearts and Minds Investments Limited (HM1) is a unique listed investment company that was established in November 2018 with the combined objective of providing a concentrated portfolio of the highest conviction ideas from leading fund managers, whilst also supporting Australian medical research institutes. Our fund managers provide their recommendations on a pro bono basis, enabling HM1 to waive typical management fees and instead donate to medical research, an amount equivalent to 1.5% of Net Tangible Asset value (NTA) per annum. This win-win model delivers investment returns to shareholders while also creating a sustainable funding source for our beneficiaries.

Raise
We train volunteers from the community to become trusted youth mentors. Once trained, they are matched with a young person to support them with engagement and wellbeing. Support and guidance from a mentor grows young people's confidence, hope for the future, and sense of belonging. Young people in our country are navigating a severe mental wellbeing crisis with rising household stress, poverty, bullying, social media impact, loneliness, and school refusal. Mental illness and youth suicide rates are alarmingly high. Since 2008, we’ve supported over 16,000 teenagers (aged 13-15) and trained over 10,000 volunteer mentors

Climate Governance Initiative
Our ambition is for boards to be transformed through implementation of the World Economic Forum Principles for Effective Climate Governance. This will be evidenced by an increase in board director engagement with activities across the Climate Governance Initiative, the progress of companies over the next three years and an overall increase in the number of companies with transition plans compatible with a 1.5 degrees scenario. The Chapters of the Climate Governance Initiative have an instrumental role to play for this Ambition to be realised, with the support of the Governing Board
